Lucas was first asked to join the Ghosts in preparation for recording their album, The Mighty Ghosts Of Heaven in early 2007. After a successful recording session and some fun summer shows, including a innertube trip down the Yakima River, Lucas joined on as a permanent member of the band.

Lucas also performs with Portland's Clampitt, Gaddis & Buck, has an unhealthy obsession with baseball, loves anything with gin in it, plays a mean softball game, loves camping and fishing, and a good cigar.
