Andy Sheie

Andy Sheie
Washboard, Percussion, a bit of Singing, Kazoo

Andy first started playing with the Ghosts in the spring of 2007 on both washboard and washtub bass. He dropped the bass as soon as Lucas came along, and has played washboard and miscellaneous percussion (as well as a bit of singing and kazoo-playing) since the recording of their self-titled album in the summer of 2007. He did not go tubing with the Ghosts in Yakima as he had a prior engagement, but did sleep in a giant yurt with three stuffed mountain goats after a wedding gig near Mount Rainier.

Andy also plays guitar and banjo with the Portland band Hearts of Oak and has previously played with The RCMP, Gabe Rozzell and the Legion of Decency, and Sassparilla. He is a big fan of cheese sandwiches, drinks his coffee black and his whiskey neat, hopes to be able to fiddle well enough by summer as to not embarrass himself at Weiser, and he once had the most recognizable mustache in Portland.
